ASUS Zenbook UX31 Review
asus ux31 i7 I read plenty of reviews of other types of this laptop while I was anticipating it to arrive inside mail and I started to worry that I had just spent big money on something that was launched prematurely and had many design flaws. Let me just declare that from my experience this has developed into not true. Like any new laptop you will need to set it up to work best for you. If you don’t need to spend the few seconds customizing it in your tastes then get a new Mac. Apple works great out of your box but offers the user little in the way of customization.
1) The keyboard is okay. The keys are not necessarily misaligned. Although it does take about 10 minutes of getting used to a different layout, this is no diverse from any other new notebook. Laptop keyboards vary on account of size differences. That is all. They keyboard is wonderful, comfortable and works nicely.
2)Bad internet connection: not true. If you are running off of the battery the laptop adopts a power saving manner. However, you have the choice of putting it back to high performance mode. The power saving mode is fine for word processing but if you want to use the internet and acquire your normal performance you should switch it to good performance mode (Fn+Space). And even if you need to do run it in top rated mode while unplugged you still get 4 to 5 hours out of the actual battery, which is pretty amazing.
3) Track-pad problems: Better than the one I needed on my Dell. Update the drivers and it is fine. In fact, I didn’t even update the drivers approximately 2 days and it had been still fine. The one initial problem I had created was that when My partner and i tried to scroll upward or down (any two-finger swipe gesture) sometimes I would inadvertently zoom in or out on the page. This was corrected by a simple settings adjustment.
The ONLY design flaw I’d even mention is how the power button is inside the spot where you usually discover the delete button. Kind of odd placement, but it hasn’t been an issue yet.
All in all, a great machine using a great screen, great sound for a new laptop and brilliantly rapid.
